“TASTE OF TEANECK” AT MARRIOTT
The Rotary Club of Teaneck is having its second annual “Taste of Teaneck” on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. To be held at the Marriott Teaneck at Glenpointe, the event features samplings of the best dishes from area restaurants, sweets and treats from bakeries, plus entertainment, raffles, and a tricky tray auction. “Taste of Teaneck” is an evening of celebration of Teaneck’s community spirit, and has become a jewel in the crown of the wonderful community-wide events Teaneck has to offer. For an incredibly-low ticket price, attendees will dine on a gourmet meal unavailable anywhere else! Tickets are $35 in advance, or $40 at the door. Seniors are $25 in advance at $30 at the door. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to experience the diversity of foods found in Teaneck, representing many of the cultures in the community. Kosher, non-kosher and Halal foods will be available so there is truly something for everyone. Participating venues include Art Café, Athens Bakery, Café 22, Chopsticks, Cedar Lane Grill, Coffeecol Arepa, Dos Cubanos, Five Star Premier Residences of Teaneck, Heritage at Glenpointe, Lal Qila, Marriott Teaneck at Glenpointe, M.K. Valencia, New Dehli, Rose Restaurant, Vasilli’s, Vitale’s and Zoe’s Cupcake Café.
Now in its 84th year of community service, The Rotary Club of Teaneck uses the monies raised to help the area projects such as the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Helping Hands Food Pantry, the Community Scholarship Fund and many other programs. Internationally, Teaneck Rotary is directly involved with the "Gift of Life” Program.
The Rotary Club of Teaneck meets every Wednesday at noon at Vitale’s, 293 Queen Anne Road, Teaneck. All are welcome and the only cost is for lunch.
