Rotarian Wally Ochterski, Chairman, Stewardship Subcommittee, District 7090 Rotary International Foundation Committee, used a visual and example filled presentation to explain why and how The Rotary Foundation (TRF) works.
He guided the audience through TRF’s Six Areas of Focus: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, and Economic and community development.

Wally has special interest in Rotary’s efforts to eliminate polio in the world – he had participated in the polio eradication program in India. His program, therefore, featured illustrations and data regarding Rotary’s success.

He closed the presentation explaining how individuals can support the efforts of The Rotary Foundation. Wally encouraged all Rotarians to support their Club in achieving “Every Rotarian Every Year” status. That means that every member of the club makes a contribution to TRF.
