Your gift to The Rotary Foundation works far beyond that single contribution. The combination of support from Rotarians, Clubs, Districts and The Rotary Foundation has major impact on Global Grant projects. You should feel proud of what your contribution accomplishes. It is more that dollars. It is impact on improving the lives of people.

The Rotary Club of West Seneca is almost number one (actually, number two, but that will come later).

The fantastic part comes from these facts for this Rotary year:
            There are 13 clubs in District 7090;
            Working with 15 “host” clubs in other districts (host means that we are doing a project in that clubs area – or, in “old term” usage, International Partner)
            In 10 different countries;
            On 13 different Global Grants;
            To the tune of $906,511.00.

The Global Grants supported by this District and The Rotary Foundation ranged from $36K to 151K.

Oh, yes, RC West Seneca is number two behind RC Hamilton. Hamilton came in at $151,500.00. West Seneca is not far behind at $111,224.00.

However, let me point out, that $111K didn’t come from our pocket entirely. RC West Seneca’s in-fact out-of-pocket portion for the one grant was $3K. That $3K grew to the $111K by the mechanism that The Rotary Foundation uses to match grant amounts from individuals, Clubs and Districts.

So when Wally talks about contributing to The Rotary Foundation and Larry explains the clean water project in Ghana and the impact that your gift can have, well, there you have it.

And, just in case you need to feel even more proud of what we do as a club, consider this: $6,891.00. Looking at the past ten-year history, that is our average per year Club contribution to The Rotary Foundation.
Now that is IMPACT!!!

Go ahead. Be proud of what you’ve done.
