Around the world every district governor visits every Rotary in their district at least once during their term. The governor visits to meet members, encourage and recognize their efforts and promote goals and vision for the Rotary year.
 
Welcomed by Past District Governors Wally Ochterski and Jack Amico, both of West Seneca Rotary, were District Governor Kevin Crosby, Buffalo Sunrise Rotary and Assistant Governor AJ Block, East Aurora Rotary.
 
District Governor Kevin visited the West Seneca Rotary to meet with the members and board of directors. His presentation to the members included remarks about:
How Rotarians work to enhance the lives of persons in local and international communities;
The structure of Rotary International -- intended to serve the needs of clubs – the clubs are the pinnacle of service action in the world of Rotary;
How Rotarians can continue to “Be a Gift to the World;”
His personal goals for the 2015-2016 Rotary year;
Membership development activities and club collaboration;
Continuing support for The Rotary Foundation;
Club recognition programs – Presidential Citation and Lighthouse Award.
 
Following the formal presentation, DG Kevin gave each West Seneca Rotarian a gift – a lapel pin of the Rotary International logo and theme – “Be a Gift to the World.”
 
In recognition of the DG’s excellent presentation, President Amy Thompson provided a certificate of recognition. It expressed appreciation for his information and words of encouragement and indicated that a book, with a book plate recognizing him, will be purchased and placed in the children’s section of the West Seneca Library.
