Dear Rotarians,

We, at The Salvation Army, are grateful for the wonderful blessing the Downtown Rotary Club has been in partnering with us in Doing The Most Good in Springfield and Sangamon County!  Need knows no season, and we know that the Christmas season brings its own joys and challenges to each individual, family, business, and organization.  That is why it means so much that you choose to make The Red Kettle Campaign effort a priority.  Please know that your extra time, compassion, generosity, and work do not go unnoticed or unappreciated! We truly cannot do all the good we do without your partnership!

Thanks to your wonderful support, the Kettle Campaign effort alone raised about 20% of our 2016 budget needs!  That’s right, because of your contributions—all of which are valuable—we raised over $185,000 at our kettles this past Christmas season.  These funds will greatly help us to provide much-needed services throughout the year!  These “little acts of mercy” show the world the gentle care and love of God in our hurting world!

Because of your help, we can declare war on the things that keep many people from knowing the love of God in a broken and sin-sick world.  We can “come through” for those in need because you are our partner in this fight, standing side by side with us.  We know that you are motivated to action because you understand that needs left unmet can lead to deeper despair and hopelessness.

God bless the faithful members of the Downtown Rotary Club of Springfield as you continue to be faithful to all He calls you to do and to be!

Saved to Serve,

Assistant Stephen Keasling
Kettle Coordinator
