Ray Bertino, a retired physician from Peoria, will present his concerns about the impacts of commercialization of marijuana use. His heavy involvement with issues related to the epidemic of heroin and opioid use stimulated his interest in the effects that marijuana use can have on the cognitive abilities of developing adolescents and young adults. While remaining neutral on the issue of the legalization of marijuana possession and use, he is concerned about public health policies regarding the impact of marijuana use. Dr. Bertino will share and explain his specific concerns. Visitors are welcome to attend and may enjoy a fine buffet dinner for $12.00.
