Discover the Chiara Center with Program Director Dan Frachey

Please join us on Monday night at 5:30 p.m. in Maldaners Upstairs to learn about the Chiara Center in Springfield from Program Director Don Frachey. Visitors are welcome to attend and may enjoy a fine buffet dinner for $12.00. The Chiara Center is a Franciscan place of spirituality that welcomes people of all faiths for individual reflection, group retreats, and conferencing on the beautiful wooded grounds of the Hospital Sisters of Saint Francis Motherhouse.  The Center is enlivened by the diversity of all spiritual seekers who present themselves for a myriad of reasons: embracing periods of silence, walking amidst the natural beauty, journeying with a spiritual companion or director,  or simply to rest and regroup. Dan did his graduate work in Pastoral Studies and obtained his Certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis.  An active member of our community, Dan served in the past in parish ministries at the Church of St. Jude in Rochester, as Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County, and as supervisor of the St. John’s Breadline.
