Cathy Schwartz will Describe the King's Daughters Organization
On February 26, Cathy Schwartz, a former President of the King's Daughters Organization in Springfield, will describe the mission and history of this organization. The Carrie Post King's Daughters Home for Women was established in Springfield in 1893. The home fulfilled its mission to provide for the housing and care of elderly women for over 110 years. Cathy will tell us how the organization adapted to the closing of the home and continues to fulfill its mission to care for senior women. Cathy joined the King's Daughters Organization in 2002 and is currently the circle leader for the Mary H. Blackstock Circle. Please join us at 5:30 p.m. at Maldaners Upstairs to learn more about this long-time service organization in Springfield. Guests are always welcome.
