Fifth Street Renaissance Helps Our Community

Join the members of the Rotary Club of Springfield for a special program on December 4 at 5:30 p.m. in Maldaners Upstairs.  Penny Harris, Executive Director of Fifth Street Renaissance, will describe how their programs help the homeless, the hungry, individuals living with HIV and AIDS, youth in transition, and others in need of a helping hand.

Established in 1979, Fifth Street Renaissance offers transitional housing for the homeless, a food pantry for the hungry, various programs for individuals living with HIV and AIDS, a program for youth in transition, and other programs for those in need. The 2006 merger with the Springfield Aids Resource Association (SARA) allowed more extensive HIV education and outreach, and on-site support services for those living with HIV and their families.

Join us to learn more about these programs, meet people dedicated to serving the community and the world, and enjoy a fine meal. Guests are always welcome.
