The Rotary Club of Springfield and District 6460
Join us at 5:30 p.m. in Maldaners Upstairs for a special presentation by our Rotary District Governor Brian Barstead. Visitors are always welcome and may enjoy a fine buffet dinner for $12.00. It is a longstanding Rotary tradition that the sitting District Governor visit every club in the district. Brian will provide a perspective on happenings in District 6460 and Rotary International. He will also describe the upcoming District Conference Beach Party, which will be held in Springfield on November 2-3.
Brian joined Rotary in 1990 and is a member of Rotary Club of Springfield Sunrise and has served in various club roles including Club President. He also has served on several District conference planning committees, as Editor for the "Four Way Today" District Newsletter, three years as District Treasurer and three years as Assistant Governor. Brian is a recipient of the District 6460 John Giavaras Community Service Award. He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a Paul Harris Society Member.
A central Illinois native, Brian graduated from Springfield High and Illinois State University. He and his wife Nancy live in Rochester. Brian is a franchise owner with Ameriprise Financial. He helps clients with financial planning, investments, retirement planning and estate planning and is a Certified Financial Planner.
