Donna began our meeting with the Pledge, Chuck changed things up today and led us in singing “America”. Our only guest was our speaker, Luanne Brown. John gave our invocation and asked that we remember Bill Holler who passes away this week.
Announcements. Linda Griffin is home recovering from some surgery. We are glad to hear she is on the road to feeling better. Keep an eye on your buddy Pat. Membership chairman, Mike Ford, will have a Rotary table at Elmlawn’s Fall Festival Sunday from 10:00 – 3:00. By now you should have received Donna’s emailed signup sheet.

District Governor, Melisa Schrock will be at our regular meeting Monday.
Dick Hanaburgh was not here to report on the Shred-It event last Saturday. It looks like we will be grossing $5.5K. Report to come. Joe mentioned that Larry’s helpers were a large part of our success. Thank you Larry. Final announcement, Rick Graham will need requests for donations from our foundation in by November 30. Applications are on our website.
Joe Arcara filled in for Jim Logan as fine master. Confessions: Audrey went to Orlando for a banking convention. Not at all surprising, she won a leadership award and got to see behind the scenes at Disney. That would be so cool. Chuck confessed to bringing his name tag home by mistake. Cathy Piciulo attended a New Urbanism conference. She was able to be involved in many aspects of Urbanization. It was very impressive. Joe quizzed us on baseball trivia. Oh and Larry just arrived.
Jerry won the split club and Phil missed the Ace.
Audrey introduced Luanne Brown. Luanne is the executive director of Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network, Inc. www.bppn.org. BPPN is a not-for-profit organization that has been around for 30 years. The programs operated by BPPN focus on improving maternal and infant health outcomes for high need women and their families, and to help reduce racial and ethnic disparities in those outcomes. This program shed a light on challenges that are unfamiliar to most of us in the audience. Great program.
