Wild Colorado: Share the Adventure

Topic: Joseph Sanchez is the director of Mesa County Public Libraries. In his short time with us in Grand Junction, Joseph has brought a lot of changes and progress to the Libraries.  This includes recently opening a full scale production studio, launching a statewide mobile application, and working on a co-working space in downtown Grand Junction.  Today, Joseph will demonstrate the Wild Colorado wildlife app developed by the library and freely available to the entire state of Colorado

 Bio: Joseph Sanchez ran the first library in America to circulate eReaders and iPads.  He is a nationally recognized leader on tech and eContent issues, speaking and writing on these issues for the library community.  He has won a number of national awards, and is an adjunct professor for San Jose State University in the Library Science program.  He is a classic car fan and has been skateboarding for over 25 years.  He enjoys the outdoors and is excited to explore Mesa County’s hunting and fishing opportunities.
