Intro: Rotarian Cary Eidsness
Topic: The House, a Safe Place for Western Slope Teens, was founded in 2012, in part with a generous Rotary grant, as the only licensed teen shelter between Denver and Salt Lake. Today we will learn about some concrete program outcomes, and on the future on teen services in Mesa County.
Bio: John Mok-Lamme is executive director and co-founder of Karis, Inc., a local non-profit that works primarily with homeless teens. He was the first director Homeward Bound, the founding president of the Grand Valley Coalition for the Homeless and is a member the Colorado Homeless Youth Advisory Board. He was worked at Marillac Clinic, served as a campus pastor at Colorado Mesa University and as an associate pastor at First Baptist Church. He is married to Christine Mok-Lamme who works at Mind Springs Health, has two boys David and Evan.
