Tortoises, Turtles and Boobies in the Galapagos

Intro:  TBD

Topic:  When Charles Darwin came ashore from The Beagle onto the Galapagos Islands in 1835 he was fascinated by the variety of plants and animals which inspired him to author his seminal work, Origin of the Species. Today, due mostly to the intervention of humans, these species are dwindling and now need human intervention to be saved from extinction. Lynn will share her experience helping to restore and preserve habitat for endemic species of turtles, tortoises and boobies.

Bio:  After raising her son Alex and retiring from a thirty five year career in sales and marketing management she now trots the globe with her husband Dan. Most recently they travelled to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands where they participated in a program with Conservation Volunteers International.
