What A Wonderful Year -- Thank You!
Jun. 24, 2015
Believe it or not, our 2014-2015 Rotary Year is coming to a close. In has been a great year. President Barbara Bowman started with the theme of “Fun, Fellowship and Giving (and Excitement).” Through electrifying programs, events and fundraising opportunities, she has certainly delivered. Who can ever forget the Rotary Newlywed Game? And she worked hard to make the fundraising fun also. For example, two new events this year—the Shredding Party and the White Elephant Sale—were definitely a hit. Barbara also introduced some wonderful Club Fellowship programs such as “Superstars Among Us” and “Pumpkin Carving.” It was fantastic to discover more about our fellow members. Barbara also encouraged cooperation between all Rotary Clubs across the Grand Valley, highlighted from the very beginning with “All Rotary on the Rooftop Terrace” at the Avalon. Also to be highlighted was the successful unavailing of CMU’s Rotary Hall. In today’s program, outgoing President Barbara will be reflecting back on this wonderful year and help the Club look to the future in membership recruitment and good works. Most of all, Barbara wishes to “thank the club for this opportunity; it has been a great honor.” |
