Scholar Update from England

I hope all is well with you. I am happy to report I just finished my first Rotary event in England, the Rotary Scholars Link Weekend in Warwick. It was nearly 54 scholars from across 12 countries. A lovely and brilliant crew -- from designers working at the intersection of design and health to doctors to statisticians to nuclear weapon lawyers, it was a fascinating group.

We had a session on public speaking, British culture, culture shock, and the work of Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland. We also met some local club members and were treated to fish and chips and some nice English puddings.

Overall, it was incredibly humbling to be amongst such prestigious Rotary scholars and made me feel privileged to be a part of this year's cohort.
