For 31 years, the Rotary Champions Foundation has assembled the finest scholar-athletes in the Pikes Peak region. The purpose of this event is to recognize, celebrate, and reward those young men and women that embody the spirit of Champions - excellence on the playing field, excellence in the classroom, and excellence in the community.

The Champions Committee members are putting the final touches on the great evening which starts at 6:00p on Wednesday May 6th at the Pikes Peak Center. 430 Student Athletes will find out who get scholarships and medallions and will hear a great Olympic  Athlete speaker  challenge them to "do their best and don't quit before that". All Rotarians should come and be guests at this event which attracts 700 parents who have their first look at Rotarians in action with their  great kids.

Since the inception of this program (1984), nearly 10,000 young men and women have been selected by their coaches to represent their school in an individual sport. Over $240,000 has been awarded in college scholarships over the past 30 years.

All Rotarians should be very proud of this, the most recognizable Rotary event in Colorado Springs.
