Guest Speaker Lucy Connery, MPH Executive Director, The Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo & WNY; Board of Directors, Youth Non-Profit Professional Network (YNPN) of Greater Buffalo

 

We have invited Lucy Connery to provide an introduction to the Youth Non-Profit Professional Network (YNPN) of Greater Buffalo., following discussions between representatives of our club and YNPN about developing a partnership to better serve our shared community. We will invite representatives of other local Rotary clubs to join us for a discussion of how we might work together and support each other. Rotary recognizes the power of partnering with other local organizations to implement local service projects. Who knows? Maybe some members of YNPN will be interested in joining Rotary and maybe some of our young professionals in Rotary will also want to join YNPN. In her short time at the Wellness Institute, Ms. Connery has assisted in planning, implementing, and evaluating many programs, events, and activities for youth, adult and older adult populations throughout Western New York. Lucy has taken on many independent projects on her own; she has had over a dozen articles published in local health-focused publications, varying in topics from mental health, physical activity, community culture change, social capital, and more.
