Plant for the Future: Part II

Former RI President Ian S. Riseley challenged Rotary clubs across the globe to plant a tree for every member of our clubs in our local communities. Minneaplis Club #9 and Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary joined forces to support the efforts of non-profit Mississippi Park Connection and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, the National Park in the heart of the Twin Cities.

Please join us on Oct. 26 as we move the trees that our members planted in the tree nursery last May into their permanent homes in the national park. The nursery (also known as a gravel bed) housed 250 bare root trees over the summer to receive the critical care needed to ensure their success once transferred to the ground in the park.
