MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY...

COOKING FOR SHIP: MEALS OF HOPE

Meals Of Hope
Meals of Hope is a volunteer program dedicated to delivering meals to homeless people in Somerville.   The Rotary Club of Branchburg has been supporting this wonderful program for more than 10 years.
How it works:  Food is prepared at the North Branch and transported to the SHIP headquarter where it is separated into hot and cold containers.  Our Rotary Club prepares meals every fifth Wednesday of the month.  We report at 7:15 AM, prepare meals and deliver.  It is a very rewarding experience.  This is our way of giving back to those who are in need of assistance.
A word from our members:
"After finishing the meal preparation for Rotary, I was amazed by how appreciative many of the residents.  The experience made me realize how important the Meals of Hope program truly is." - Bill, Rotary member.
