FOUNDATION BOARD NEWS

Steve McNeil chaired a meeting of the Bylaws Committee on Monday, August 25^th.  Present were Steve, Roger Spugnardi, Bob Allen, and Jim Pfeifer.  Proposed changes were reviewed and agreed upon.  Steve will make a revised draft and submit it to the Committee.  After review, a final draft will be presented to the Foundation Board at the October meeting for approval and subsequent submission to the Club Board for ratification.

 

Steve McNeil submitted his resignation from the Foundation Board, but will continue to Chair the Bylaws Committee until final approval by the Club Board.

 

Emerson Knowles is finalizing his draft of Investment guidelines for the Foundation and will be submitting same to the Investment Committee later this month.

 

Because of the resignations of Ed Drager and Steve McNeil from the Board, we needed to add two new Directors.  Jim sent a letter earlier this summer seeking interested Club members to join the Board and received two positive replies from Ed Treick and Bob Allen.  In an email vote by the Foundation Board, both volunteers were selected, and their names will be submitted to the Club Board at the Club Board’s September meeting for approval.

 

The next meeting of the Foundation Board will be on Thursday, October 16^th at 1:15 PM following the regular Thursday Rotary lunch.  All members are welcome to attend.  An agenda will be prepared within the next several weeks.
