Rotary Focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment (@ Clark's Home)
Aug 06, 2015
The meeting will feature a roundtable discussion on Rotary's Area of Focus on Disease Prevention and Control. The meeting will be held at the home of Clark Osterhout. 813 Donau Court (Twelve Bridges area) - (916) 543-5294. Rotaries efforts for disease prevention and treatment takes on many forms. Rotary's top priority is the eradication of polio, but our members take on far greater responsibilities to fight disease. They set up health camps and training facilities in undeveloped countries and in communities struggling with HIV/AIDS and malaria. They also design and build the infrastructure for doctors, nurses, governments, and partners to reach the one in six people in the world who can't afford to pay for health care. |

Please let Claire know if you plan to attend by responding to her email or call the Osterhouts at 543-5294 to let them know you are coming. Please bring something to drink and an appetizer to pass. Saving Mothers and Children
Oct 01, 2015
At least 7 million children under the age of five die each year due to malnutrition, poor health care, and inadequate sanitation. To help reduce this rate, Rotary provides immunizations and antibiotics to babies, improve access to essential medical services, and support trained health care providers for mothers and their children. Our projects ensure sustainability by empowering the local community to take ownership of health care training programs. |

90th Year of Service Celebration
Oct 15, 2015
|
|
Oct 15, 2015 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
All of you know that Lincoln Rotary is turning 90 this month so we are planning to celebrate with a party on Thursday, October 15th at the Woman's Club from 6-8 PM.
We invite you and your spouse/guest to join us as we look back over the years our club has been in Lincoln.
We are asking each of you to bring an appetizer to share so please plan to come early to set out your food. Rotary will be hosting the bar with wine, beer and water. We will also have a cake to commemorate this historic occasion. This should be a really fun evening so don't miss out.
If you know of any former Lincoln Rotarians please invite them and let me know who they are and if they are coming. Please respond by using my email or phone. Looking forward to seeing all of you on October 15th.
