Biography

Councillor Betty Disero is serving her first term on regional council and as lord mayor of the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

She was a Toronto School Board trustee from 1982 to 1985, councillor for the City of Toronto from 1985 to 2003 and a councillor for the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake from 2014 to 2018. She was also president of Boomer Consulting Corporation from 2003 to 2017 and worked at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation from 1979 to 1982.

Councillor Disero's community involvement includes being a member of the Rotary Club of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara-on-the-Lake Historical Society and Friends of Fort George.
