Fellow Rotarians and Friends of the Monadnock Rotary Club

As I write this bulletin it is a typical, gray, rainy, late fall day.  Fortunately, I have a good fire going in the wood stove and there is still a lot of color left in the leaves in the woods.

Our speaker for the week of October 18, 2015, was T. Stephens  the author of the novel Dante's Cypher.  "T. Stephens" the author's pen name, talked about his experiences growing up and how they impacted his life and development as an author.  In particular, he emphasized the importance of "taking charge" of one's own life and the need for persistence.  All told, a total of 15 years passed from his initial ideas for the book to when it was finally published.  He also described his commitment to helping others as illustrated by his being a "Big Brother" for many years.

The author indicated that the story in "Dante's Cypher" is not only a mystery but is quite "chilling."  Just the thing to read as we approach Halloween!

Our next meeting will be October 27, 2015, at the Dublin Community Church starting at 7:30 AM.  Chuck Simpson will be  our speaker talking about landscape design for a Rotary Park.  Kevin McElhinney has the Invocation and Mary Loftis has the Hat.
