Fellow Rotarians and Friends of the Monadnock Rotary Club,

I had an interesting couple of days in Finland last week.  A beautiful country, with very friendly people, but the 24 hours of daylight per day in the summer can be a bit unsettling.  However, the green growing things over there seem to like it just fine.

The speaker at last week's meeting was Helfried Zrzavy, Technology Director at ConVal High School.  Helfried gave a talk on Technology and Security - Jim Guy sent all Club members a copy of the presentation during the week.  If you didn't happen to receive it, please let me know and I'll forward another copy to you.  Many thanks to Mr. Zrzavy for taking time from his busy schedule to provide information on this most important topic.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at 7:30 am in the Dublin Community Church.  The speaker will be Lorraine Walker, a local story teller who will speak to the Club about the local connection to the sinking of the Lusitania.  We look forward to her talk.  Tom Blodgett has the Hat and Chuck Simpson has the Invocation.

There will be a Monadnock Wellness Festival Committee meeting on Tuesday immediately after the regular meeting.

Our exchange student, Bel, will be joining us for the meeting on Tuesday to give us her thoughts on the time she has spent with us here in the United States.  We will also be presenting the award to the Evans-Reilly winner, Cole Wohle.  Cole was selected for his extensive volunteering with the Francestown Rookie Baseball team and Francestown Fire Dept. Explorers, his commitment to the ConVal Football team, and his overall service record at school and in the community.  Congratulations to Cole, and many thanks to the Evan-Reilly Award Committee for their hard work in selecting this year's award winner from a pool of outstanding candidates!
