Another first Wednesday in May, another great success for the Milford Rotary Club's 37th annual Chicken BBQ for area senior citizens.

Thanks to the enthusiastic leadership of May Balsama and her co-chair Paul Wydra, this community service event was fun filled from start to finish for Rotarians and their guests,  As May wrote, the commitment and dedication of so many club members and volunteers made this longstanding annual event "work like a well-oiled machine".

Over 240 senior citizens from across the Souhegan Valley region were treated to a fabulous chicken barbeque featuring some fantastic salads from The Yankee Chef and those always delicious brownies from Frederick's Pastries.  All around terrific help and entertainment were provided by students from Souhegan High School and their advisors Lesli Rendall and Maggie Paul. Another highlight of the luncheon were the wonderful door prizes raffled off thanks to the generosity of Shaw's Supermarket, Moulton's Market, The Garden Party, The House by the Side of the Road, Bedford Fields, and JM Princewell.
