Our guest speaker this morning will be Frank Rocchi, a former member of the club.
Frank was born and raised in Hamilton and it's environs. He is a past charter member of the Rotary Club of Hamilton AM. He is a Paul Harris fellow, past Sergeant at Arms, past Chair of the Membership Committee and former Chair of the Environment Committee.
In 1991 the Rotary Club of Hamilton AM, the first morning club established in District 7090, and the first to admit female members, was presented an award from the district for it's efforts on behalf of the environment. Under president Jim Cimba . the club's Environment Committee, chaired by Frank, founded a Joint Chair in the Environment with McMaster University. The 3 year program was unique in the annals of both Rotary and McMaster. That project, was fundamental to the former remediation of Cootes Paradise, a process which must now, sadly, be revived.
He lives in the North End, a block from the main CN lines. His 3 grown children share his passion for the Ti-Cats, although their other interest vary widely from his of military history, Southampton and all things Lebowski
