RCHP out in the Community again with BBQ for mifSA

Neville Highett & Mike McAuliffe at the BBQ trailer cooking sausages for the Mental Illness Foundation of SA (mifSA) sausage sizzle fundraiser.

Under the guidance of CEO Natasha Miliotis, mifSA staff and volunteers supported by RCHP members Mike McAuliffe, Neville Highett, Robert Handley, Gerry Greenway, Andrew Sullivan and Allen Stanley tempted passing Royal Show patrons with beef sausages, fried onions and sauces in a slice of fresh white bread as they headed to/from the new Show Ground entry adjacent to the railway station. With the BBQ trailer set up in the undercroft carpark of the mifSA Office Building on the corner of Cooke & Rose Terraces, Wayville, sausages and cold soft drinks were sold from a "shop-front" abutting the footpath.

Unfortunately, the project was not as successful as hoped, with only 150 takers experiencing the gastronomic joys of our sausage BBQ, but we were out in the community helping and getting exposure.
