President Husam led us in the Flag Salute.

President Husam then "Inspired" us by reminding us how amazing the Joint Christmas Party was. It was a great event and so fun to see fellow Rotarians that we only get together with once or twice a year.

President Husam then thanked Michelle Cekov for taking attendance.

Rich Stewart auctioned off a basket that Bob & Wendy Pazen won at the Christmas Party. President Husam bought it for $100.

President Husam introduced Marco Vasquez, a guest of Bob Pazen, to tell us a little bit about himself. Marco is a patient of Bob Pazen and a RYLA graduate. Marco just learned that he has received a full ride scholarship to Stanford! Marco grew up in Colonia in Oxnard and focused on his education because he didn't want to go the way of other people he grew up with. Many of the kids Marco grew up with got involved with gangs and are into drugs. Marco received his scholarship through National Scholarship Match.

Bob Lynn gave our Inspirational Message followed by Bob Pazen who gave our joke of the week.

Bill Spellman spoke about Interact at Buena and how we desperately need a Rotarian advisor to help Natalie with the program. We do not have any candidates for RYLA this year and the Interact club is down to about 10 students.
