Greg Frye led us in the Flag Salute.
 
Guest of Sam Marsh was Barbara Marsh and guests of John Masterson were Tammy Carlton, Cherisse Ormsby and P.I. Ceraos. Guest of the club was Amber Stevens.
 
Amber Stevens spoke briefly about what's happening at the Y. Amber thanked the club for our donation to Operation Splash and let us know that a new session had just started with 50 kids. Amber invited everyone to please come out to the Y and check out the program.
 
President Bruce asked for March birthdays. Bob Lynn, Tim Hughes, Midge Stork, Kathy McGee and Amber Stevens all celebrate April birthdays!
 
Midge Stork announced that the raffle prize was a gift card to Cafe Fiore generously donated by Todd Juvonen.
 
President Bruce invited John Masterson to tell us about his trip to Egypt. John said it was "TERRIFIC!!!"
 
Tim Hughes gave our joke of the day.
 
Tim Hughes also reminded us about Kathy Hatten and her project to build a literacy center at Blanche Reynolds School. Ventura Unified School District came through with funding to buy the furniture. What Kathy really needs now are funds to purchase new books. Tim Hughes is taking donations to purchase books for Blanche Reynolds School.
 
President Bruce presented Tim Blackwell and Tim Hughes with "Membership" pins and presented Greg Frye with his Blue Badge.
 
President Bruce reminded us about Rotaract's house build in Mexico this summer and about the recipe project Rotaract has going on now to help fund this project.
 
President Bruce also told us that he put handouts at each table about the Rotary Foundation. If you need a tax deduction, this is something to consider.
 
Joe Strohman let us know that the 4-Way Test essay contest will be on May 12th. Carolyn Hertel has donated the prize money again this year and will be here for the presentation to the winners.

President Bruce let us know that Andy Corliss hasn't been here for a month and that Andy is fine he's just been having some car issues.
 
Jeff Hata let us know RYLA started today and would go through the weekend. If you would like to check out what the RYLA participants are up to you are invited to go up on Saturday and /or attend the closing ceremony on Sunday morning.
