Leading with a Coaching Mindset

Janny [yani] Franken will discuss Leading with a Coaching Mindset: Improving people's lives by guiding them into their preferred future through listening and asking empowering questions.

Janny was born and raised in The Netherlands and worked in settings where she could use her observational and critical analysis strengths, advising parents and professionals on how to improve their ability to work with and raise children and youth with special needs.

She has used her gifts in different settings while living in the U.S.A. In 2007, Janny was hired to improve a set of 3 Dutch Schools in Southern California. In 2012, she started working in a church to grow and improve their Children & Youth Ministries. Janny’s latest job accomplishment was to guide a congregation through the transition of becoming an official Reconciling in Christ - openly welcoming LGBTQ+ church. During COVID she trained for and became an executive coach.

Janny is passionate about bringing improvement to organizations and guiding leaders through change, towards a desired future. Her best work is done through one-on-one coaching relationships. Janny has a Dutch Masters' degree in Educational Sciences and a Bachelor’s in Pedagogy. She is proud to have her own coaching business, and is an ICF-Associate Certified Coach.
