Smoke Detector Give Away

October is Fire Prevention Week/Fire Safety Month and we want as many homes installed with working smoke alarms.

Simi Sunrise Rotary Club along with additional financial support from the Noon-time and Sunset Clubs have allocated funds to make this first annual event possible. The location will be the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park on Terra Rejada near Madera.

The VCFD will be on hand to help on that day with an engine company(s) to establish a cohesive combined effort between the Department and Rotary.

We will break into 2 person teams with alarms and batteries and canvass the entire park. One person will install, the other team member will deal with the waiver and can do some fire safety education with the supplied material. One person must be a Rotarian. We are seeking Rotary volunteers as well as Interact volunteers to help out at this event.

Please bring some tools as they will be required (regular and philips screw driver, hammer, cordless drill and small drill bit, step stool or small ladder and water)
