You can donate to local needs or Rotary International needs.
 
Local Needs
These can be met in two ways - to the Dundas Valley Sunrise Club account or the the Dundas Valley Foundation.
 
Donations to the Sunrise Club are not tax deductible and are used for our general fund. This fund is used for diverse community projects such as supporting local sports teams and other local events.
 
Donations to the  Dundas Valley Foundation are tax deductible and  may ONLY be used for the purpose of clothing, housing, feeding, and educating families with young children.
 
 
Rotary International Foundation
Ways to Make a Donation to the Rotary Foundation
  1.  By cheque to: The Rotary Foundation (Canada)
  • The Club Foundation Chair (Past President)  will mail that cheque to the Rotary Foundation on your behalf
 
  1. On-line donation:  www.rotary.org
  • You will need to have set up your “My Rotary” account to make the on-line donation

Creating Your My Rotary Account
  1. Log onto the Rotary International website – www.rotary.org/myrotary/en (bookmark this address so you have easy access in the future)
  2. Click on the Sign In/Register tab
  3. If you have already set up your account, enter your sign-in email and password
  4. If you are setting up your My Rotary account, click “Create Account” and input necessary information.
Information found in My Rotary
  • Club Snapshot – provides a set of brief facts about the DVSRC and allows you at access the Club’s goals via the “View Goals” tab.  Once into the Club Goals section, you can view our goals as they relate to Community Service, Foundation Giving, and Membership.
  • My Profile – this section allows you to enter details about yourself that you wish to share with Rotary.  This section will also allow you to link to your prior Foundation giving via the “Donor History Report” located in the top section of the page.
  • “Give” tab – if you wish to make on-line donations to the Rotary Foundation, you can click on the Give tab at the top of the page.  This will link you to the various areas of the Foundation to which you can direct your gift (Annual Fund, Endowment Fund, Polio Plus Fund, Specific Rotary Causes, and Specific Rotary Projects)
  • Tons of different links related to Rotary information, Group discussions and project updates can also be found on the My Rotary website.

Club Recognition Levels for Support to the Rotary Foundation
 
  • 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club, for clubs in which all dues-paying members are Paul Harris Fellows. This is a one-time recognition. Please contact your district governor to receive this banner.
  • 100% Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member Club, in which every dues-paying member personally gives $100 or more to the Annual Fund. Awarded annually at the end of the Rotary year.
  • Every Rotarian, Every Year Club (EREY), for clubs that achieve a minimum $100 per capita with all dues-paying members contributing some amount to the Annual Fund. Awarded annually at the end of the Rotary year

Individual Recognition Levels for Support to the Rotary Foundation
 
  • Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member, when you give $100 or more per year to the Annual Fund.
  • Benefactor, when you include the Endowment Fund as a beneficiary in your estate plans or when you donate $1,000 or more to the fund outright. Benefactors receive a certificate and insignia to wear with a Rotary or Paul Harris Fellow pin.
  • Paul Harris Fellow, when you give $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund, Polio Plus, or an approved Foundation grant. To recognize someone else as a Paul Harris Fellow, you can give that amount in their name. You are recognized as a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow with each additional gift of $1,000.
  • Paul Harris Society Member, when you give $1,000 or more annually to the Annual Fund, Polio Plus, or an approved Foundation grant.
  • Bequest Society Member, when you give $10,000 or more via your estate plans. All society members receive recognition from the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation, and donors can choose to receive an engraved crystal recognition piece and a Bequest Society pin. Recognition items commemorate giving at these levels:
  • Major Donor, when your cumulative donations reach $10,000. You can choose to receive a crystal recognition piece and a Major Donor lapel pin or pendant. Recognition items commemorate giving at these levels:
  • Arch Klumph Society, when your cumulative giving reaches $250,000. We will invite you to an induction ceremony at the Rotary International headquarters in Evanston, Illinois, USA and include your picture and biography in the Arch C. Klumph Society interactive gallery. You will also receive invitations to society events, along with membership pins and crystals that commemorate giving at these levels:
