Highlights from the October 27th Program
Congressman Kevin McCarthy stopped by to give us his version of what's going on in Washington.
He compared the political climate to that of 1979, citing many examples.
Despite the Democrat's perceived popularity among young people, their average age in the House is 76 years old! Republican's average age is 49.
The middle class is worth less than it was 8 years ago. Kevin feels the House needs to focus on growth, a new tax code and to reduce regulations for businesses.
Two of Kevin's political hero's portraits hang in his office; Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Regan.
He did a fascinating breakdown of the famous painting of Washington crossing the Delaware. (Which also hangs in his office.)
Kevin's Predictions:
- The election won't be over after the winner is announced. Because of the controversy surrounding the candidates, no matter who wins, there will still be posturing going on after the announcement.
- The House will keep the majority, barely.
