Frances has worked as a global travel director, domestic violence counselor, global and public health administrator, national trainer, consultant and executive director.
 
Frances Walker was born in England to a British father and Romanian mother. Her parents met when her father was stationed in Bucharest with the Royal Air Force at the end of World War II.
 
At age of 21, Frances studied French in Paris at the famous Alliance Française.
Returning to the UK, Frances was hired as a global travel director working throughout Europe and North America.
In 1987, Frances settled in the United States and continued to work in global travel. 
 
Starting college at age 35 she ultimately earned a BA in Psychology and Social Work in 1998, a Masters in International Affairs in 2003, and an MBA in Socially Responsible Business/Organization in 2011. 
 
In 1999 she managed the statewide Preventing Mother to Child HIV Transmission Program in Florida.
In 2005, Frances Walker relocated to Seattle when hired by a University of Washington global health program. There she served as Country Program Officer, first managing the Haiti and then the Ethiopia HIV/AIDS Programs.
 
After her parents were both diagnosed with cancer,  Frances launched a consultancy to allow for travel. Frances has worked with the Clinton Foundation, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
 
Recently Frances served as Executive Director to non-profits including an anti-human trafficking organization and an organization working with women in rural Kenya. Having lived or worked in over 20 countries, Frances remains passionate about global affairs. She serves as Board Treasurer of Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility and volunteers with the American Red Cross. 
 
Frances decided to join the rotary after her mother passed away late last year and she was moved to begin a new chapter in her life. She is grateful for the benefit of a wonderful group from whom to develop meaningful friendships.
