Managing a busy branch of a major financial institution, being an active member of the Seattle Angels, helping meet foster family needs and, a single parent of three girls under nine years of age, including twins.  These are just a few of the many activities of Jennifer “Jenn” Gladish, our newest Seattle 4 Rotary member in the Banking classification.
Raised near Barstow in California’s Inland Empire, Jenn found her passion for nurturing early on in life and in a very usual place: vehicle maintenance. Yes, you heard that right. Vehicle maintenance.

Jenn was raised by a mechanic and hot rodder and her love for fixing cars led to a great project with a 1967 Corvette Stingray of her own. Ironically, her daily driver today is a hybrid. But you get the idea…

Today she lives on Queen Anne with her three daughters  -- ages 8, 5, and 5. Her day job is downtown as the branch manager of a First Interstate Bank location at One Union Square. As you would guess, it is a very commercial-heavy bank that has processed a large quantity of PPP loans. Jenn is particularly proud of her growing team and their outstanding interpersonal communication. She also finds the work fulfilling because her work simultaneously challenges and rewards her with helping customers on what is either the best or worst days of their lives.

Jenn is clearly a people person and views Rotary as a way of giving back to the community she loves so much. She believes Rotary is a great example of how to demonstrate to her kids, infinite ways of helping others.

I have enjoyed getting to know her – and you will, too.  As you do, here are few things you can bond with her on, in addition to kids and auto maintenance:
  • Yoga
  • Running
  • Wine
  • Body Art (A lot of it!)
A hearty thanks to her sponsor, Past President Mark Wright, for introducing Jenn to Seattle 4 Rotary.  Welcome, Jenn!
