It is my pleasure to introduce to you Bailee Neyland, classification Athletics and Sporting Events. She is joined here today by her boyfriend, Jared Brown, and her parents, Janece and Bruce Neyland. Bailee was sponsored by Brian Bruce and Jeff Pritchard, who we thank.

While new to this club, Bailee is no stranger to Rotary, having been the youngest member recruited and eventually appointed to the board of directors for Spokane Rotary Club 21. She is also a Paul Harris Fellow. From early-on, Bailee has always believed in service above self, getting involved on boards and committees that focus on a variety of topics from health to youth to community. She was a part of Leadership Spokane, class of 2014; a coach for Team in Training which raised funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society while running marathons in honor and memory of others; and serving on Spokane’s Business Improvement District Board, Breakers youth soccer board, and Spokane Parks Foundation committee.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Bailee was adopted at just three months old, and was raised right here in Redmond. She went on to get her undergraduate degree in international business, finance, entrepreneurship and leadership and French at Gonzaga University, where she enriched her belief of giving her time, talents, and treasure. After graduating from GU, Bailee went on to be a product development manager for the global company Zak Designs, where she led strategic creation of their dinnerware, hydration, and on-the-go lines for the company’s top categories. She was then recruited back to her alma mater to be their assistant director of marketing for their development offices. While there, after having been out of school for five years, Bailee took advantage of free tuition and worked overtime to get her MBA. Fortunately, her decision to take extra classes and finish within one year paid off, as she was recruited by Matt Santagelo to Hoopfest—the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world. As the director of brand strategy and business development, she not only sold out of sponsorships for the first time ever in the nonprofit’s history and brought on board the largest sponsorship the organization had ever received, but also published a book for their monumental 25th  Anniversary, landed ESPN for her first Hoopfest weekend, and capitalized on player appearances like Kevin Durant.

A few years ago, Bailee started her own strategic consulting LLC, where she has helped brands focus their efforts in varying areas. Traveling around regionally and internationally, Bailee is also a keynote speaker, having given presentations ranging on topics from leadership to event management to sponsorship and marketing, but her favorite is on empowering engagement, inspiring impact, and lifting up one another.

From studying in Paris to climbing Machu Picchu in Peru, doing yoga in Bali, and to bungee jumping in Australia, Bailee is always up for an adventure and challenge. Her newest brings her back to Seattle as she has been recruited to Sounders FC, where she is managing corporate partnerships. As Bailee puts it, “everyone markets—their brand...and themselves... and I am here to be an extension of their efforts, by providing them synergy, opportunity, partnership, and creativity that allows them to tell their story. My goal is to be a positive impact and help lift others up.”

Bailee is excited to be a part of this new chapter in her new chapter in life. Please welcome Bailee Neyland, classification, Athletics and Sporting Events.
