THE STORY: When Johnny, Tunny, and Will flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life, their paths are quickly estranged as their attentions become divided – by familial obligations, seductive love interests, the armed forces, and the struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world none of them could have imagined. Based on Green Day’s Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum album, this electric-rock opera of youthful disillusion will ignite your senses and stir your soul.

THE EXPERIENCE : Forget the theater you think you know and get into the world of American Idiot the way it should be told – up close and personal. As an Immersive Experience ticket holder, you will participate in this show on your feet and in multiple places in our theatre as you are guided through Tunny, Will and Johnny’s worlds. American Idiot is not a linear story, so be prepared to climb stairs, walk on platforms, and see this story through vantage points you have never experienced. Don’t expect a seat. Don’t expect a quiet, sedate journey. Don’t expect to yawn, get bored or to thumb through your program. Do expect to be guided, do expect to move, do wear good shoes and maybe leave those skirts at home. APPROXIMATE RUN TIME: 90 MINUTES. THERE IS NO INTERMISSION FOR THIS PRODUCTION.
