On Thursday evening, the Mill Creek Lions and our club hosted a dinner followed by a presentation by Dr. Russ Van Gelder of the University of Washington Medicine Eye Institute.  Dr. Van Gelder talked about the progress that has made to date to address many of the leading causes of blindness, the significant research underway at the Eye Institute, and the importance of the residency program to train new ophthalmologists.  A great question and answer session followed!
