Opening:

President Chuck opened the meeting by thanking members for their understanding regarding the last minute cancelation of last week's regular meeting due to the power outage.  The opening remarks were followed by Don Anderson accompanying the members singing "God Bless America."

Sporting a bright red St. Louis Cardinals cap from his home state of Missouri, Don Anderson reminisced about the St. Louis Cardinals and long-time sports announcer Harry Caray after which he accompanied the members singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."

John Moffat announced the annual blood drive will be held on Monday, October 5.  The drive will run from 9:00am to 3:00pm, with a break from noon to 1:30pm for our Rotary meeting.  Sign-up sheets will be on the tables starting next week.  Sasha Seiden from Bloodworks NW informed Club members that it takes about one hour to donate blood and a person can donate up to six times per year.  She also reminded us to eat a hearty meal before donating and stay hydrated.  Donating blood counts as a make-up for Club members.

Joe Coons Website Sponsorship Report:
Our Website began having business-card ads around September, 2014. The software keeps track of how many "hits" each advertiser gets, and during the period since then over 760 potential customers have clicked on a RCOB website advertiser to get more info, even though most links have been there well less than a year.*

In addition to those clicks, we Rotarians see the cards next to our weekly Tattler, giving each advertiser a chance at reaching our 150 members after each of our 45 weekly meetings; that means that over the course of a year, an ad can be seen more than 6,750 times! Not a bad PR investment for your firm...

There is room for only one more advertiser for an annual fee of $250.00  Better grab it! Contact Sandee for info.

* The most clicks were for Dunham Cellars, Lynda Hinton, and Lisa Saar, with Paula McCandlis, Wilson Engineering, and Dominique Zervas strong contenders for clickers' attention.
