Skagit STEM Network:  We are an action-oriented crosses-sector partnership that includes representation from organizations within Skagit County who are working toward the common goal of increasing student success in STEM learning.  The Network focuses on preparing future generations for economic success and creating a greater connection between Skagit Valley students and local industry.   Our efforts focus on supporting and promoting activities that no single member of the network can address alone.  We bring together different interests in the community with a common goal in the belief that a community wide collaborative effort will result in long lasting benefits for the region’s youth, economy and general community.  We advocate for the value of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education for all students in Washington State.  We support a range of different Career Connected Leaning experiences that move young adults toward lifelong learning and work.

Michelle Judson, Director Skagit STEM Network:  Michelle retired from a 35-year career as an international exploration & production geologist and executive in 2014.  Her last position at was as the Global Vice President of Resource Appraisal and a member of BP’s Exploration Function Leadership Team.  Since retiring she has been an advocate for the value of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education leading to high demand living wage jobs for students at the state and local level.
