“Being a Cougar is part of our family.  Once a Coug, always a Coug.”

Dave and Dale are both Eagle Scouts.
Mother passed in 1988.

Mom and dad owned a bakery.  Dad retired in 1998.  Dad was a meat cutter before buying the bakery.
Dave, Dale, Denny, and Gary – four brothers and sister Margie who came to live with them from an orphanage when she was 16.

The rules in their house growing up were:  Never lie, never say anything negative, and if you start something – finish it.

“We weren’t better than anyone else but whatever we did we did it well and never quit.”
All four boys went to college.  Gary a founder of Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital in Snohomish. Denny died in a car accident a senior in Dental School.

Dad taught them to figure out how they want to live and back into it.
“I loved working with my dad.”  Didn’t want to own the bakery.  Hates getting up when it's dark.

Kept looking at the pharmacy down the street from bakery and wanted to live like that family.
Went to pharmacy school.  Wanted to quit 100 times but couldn’t quit.

Carol, wife, was in love with him since 3rd grade.  Married in college.
She is a silent companion, a completer not a competitor.  She is the wind beneath my wings.  They have three children, Chad, Cory, and Nicole.

Dale worked on a salmon tender in the summers then bought the pharmacy.
Put a walk-in clinic in and built the Quil Ceda pharmacy in 1985.
Arlington pharmacy has grown from 2 to 60 employees.
In 2008 they remodeled the building.

“Success doesn’t knock on your door, you have to plan for it.”

Dale enjoys spending time with family at Lake Goodwin, duck hunting, traveling, being a cougar, and spending time with his nine grandchildren (one passed away) ages 11-21.
