The visit to the Surrey Food Bank by the Rotary Club of Surrey, was “the first visit by a Service Club” while Executive Director Marilyn Hermann has been at the helm for 11 years.
The SFB serves many people in Surrey, and there are more people who need help every month – usually due to a variety of financial constraints. To prove the point, Marilyn asked us to do a brief role play to understand just how difficult it is to live in Surrey with known constraints.
The Food Bank does excellent work with least 40 volunteers every day. Their programs include:
