October 1st.
We held our 2nd Innovative Labour Solutions Awards (ILSA)
A resounding success Next week the committee meets to debrief and set schedule for 2016 .Please advise John Edwards or myself if you wish to join the committee and we will get you plugged in for 2016
October 13th.
Our District Governor Bill Robson made his annual visit to the club.His address was titled "it is all about the members" he outlined benefits of being a Rotarian what the club should do to maximize the benefits of networking and stressed the positive benefits of attending District Functions and visiting other clubs to expand your Rotary wheel.
Coming up April 28 to May 1st 2016 POWER-UP District Conference in Semiahmoo Resort a great time to meet and exchange ideas and most of all have FUN..

Ivan Scott enlightened the membership of his novel approach to business detailed in his book

October 27th.
Our Annual meetings of the Rotary Club of Surrey and our Foundation.Minutes have been sent to all members. Now is the time to step up and volunteer for the Board let President Ed know your desires. In January we will be electing the members to lead us through 2016-17
November 3rd

Our Grade 3 Dictionary Program "ROTARY CARES" is now in year 5 . We have given over 1100 dictionaries to Grade 3 students in 5 inner city schools.
November 10th.
Our speaker last week was Ramona Materi President of Ingenia Consulting.Author of "British Columbia's new north : how to build your business, respect communities--and prosper" Ramona really knows her subject and provided the members with a tremendous insight into BC's North and opportuniteis that abound for those willing to go north or invest in the north. Another guest at our meeting was Kyle Boutilier whom we sponsored to the Democracy in Action Youth Conference in Victoria.
Kyle was one of finalists in the Adventures in Citizenship Contest at Kwantlen Park Secondary on May 4th.2015.
Kyle gave a detailed report on his three days in Victoria and meetings with our MLA and other government Officials.He highly recommended we continue sponsorships in future years as the attendees learned a lot about how our Government functions.http://www2.news.gov.bc.ca/news_releases_2013-2017/2015CSCD0025-000773.htm
