WHITEROCK HOSPICE SOCIETY
Feb. 09, 2016
BETH KISH June 2014 Beth Kish accepted the position of Interim Executive Director for the White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society. She comes with several years of experience having been the Executive Director for the Surrey Hospice Society and the Foothills Country Hospice Society in Southern Alberta. Having worked and volunteered for several not for profit organizations she has established herself in the community personally, politically and through the successful evolution of her career. As a young wife and mother, her eye for Interior design led her to start her own home-based business as a Decorator. With growing success Beth opened a store front and design studio which evolved, moved and grew. Being a small business owner was the gateway to her involvement and commitment in community organizations and always volunteering. Beth has always served her community through committee work, participating on her local Chamber of Commerce as President, and eventually was elected as a City Councillor for one term. Beth enjoys creating relationships on a personal and professional level all the while refining her skills as an innovator, communicator, collaborator and business professional. The culmination of these experiences led to Beth’s current position as the Executive Director of The White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society. A role that requires understanding, empathy, dedication and an entrepreneurial attitude. Working in support of Hospice care has been the most challenging and most rewarding of Beth’s career and represents a hybrid of her experience and passion. A top her resume though, is the most important role of Beth’s life, which is her role as a mother to her two wonderful children; Wendy and Grant. Beth has always in one way or another been involved in her community through volunteering with non profit organizations.
. “ It is my honor and privilege to play a role in providing care for people during their end of life journey.”

Representative from Make a wish Foundation. DJ Alibaba
Here's a little background info on me and my affiliation with Make-A-Wish BC/Yukon.
After spending eight years in Winnipeg I moved to Surrey, BC in 1992 to pursue a job in radio and television and further my DJ career.
At various times I've worked at 102.7 CFRO, 96.1, Z95.3 and The Beat 94.5. I currently run Alibaba Entertainment http://www.djalibabavancouver.com and F.U.B.A.R. Entertainment http://www.friendsunitedbeyondallrace.com.
I have also been very involved in community work with Whalley Little League (6 years), North Surrey Football (6 years), YMCA/elementary/high school basketball (20 years) and I currently am the grade 8 girls high school basketball coach at Frank Hurt Secondary.
Friends United Beyond All Race has been raising funds to grant wishes for Make-A-Wish BC/Yukon since 2003 through our Summer Splash and Golf Classic events. We also are involved in their annual Rope For Hope event which is usually held at the Hyatt Regency downtown Vancouver.
I've attached our Golf Classic package for your convenience. I truly appreciate your time and effort in allowing us to present this opportunity and once you confirm the location, we look forward to meeting with you April 12th at noon.
