Aunt Leah's Place.

Aunt Leah’s Place is a registered charity that has been helping kids in foster care and teen moms achieve a better future for over twenty years. We have seen how support at this critical time can help these young people realize their possibilities and potential and become resilient, independent adults

As requested here is a brief bio:

Christina Grammenos is the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Friendly Landlord Network housed at Aunt Leah’s Place. Aunt Leah’s Place has been helping youth in foster care and teen moms achieve a better future for over twenty-five years.Christina’s background is in International Development, and has worked in the social services sector on a variety of community development projects over the last 10 years.

I will be speaking about the  Friendly Landlord Network which seek to connect youth aging out of care with safe, affordable housing. I’ll cover a bit of background in terms of why the program was developed, its importance, as well as how the program works and how community members can get involved.
