Linda had a successful career in the graphic arts and direct marketing fields before retiring in 2000 and moving to Surrey to raise her children.
A strong advocate for youth, with a passion for education and community building, she has been very involved in her children's activities and education and is an active Block Watch Captain.
Recognizing the shortfall in capital funding to build schools in Surrey, Linda formed a city wide committee bringing together stakeholder groups to coordinate and focus efforts advocating for increased funding from the Province.
She is currently co-president of the Surrey District Parent Advisory council, has served as secretary and director with the Cloverdale Community Association, was a member of the Surrey Community Summit organizing committee and is an active member of the Surrey Board of Trade Post Secondary advisory committee.

Passionate about Libraries and their role in community building and literacy support she was appointed to the Surrey Libraries Board in 2012, and has worked with the Board to create the Libraries' Strategic Plan and it's first ever Advocacy plan.
