The Room was buzzing with almost full membership today.......AND RIBFEST 2016 was the topic.
Ian gave a quick update on the site plan and where we are with the RibFest 2016. The overall theme was WE NEED VOLUNTEERS PLEASE......Please send out a request to your friends and have them send out a request to their friends. We really need about 350 volunteers for the weekend. Thank you for your help.
George had a small video presentation of the bands that will be there, presented by TD. 16 Bands, 24 hours of music. President Trudy said ' you would have to pay a lot of money to see bands of this quality anywhere else.' Well done George !!!
Cleone and Danne [yes he was back after he had surgery on his knee] told us about the Kids Zone that is Sponsored by NuFloors. Looks like an amazing area for the kids again this year, complete with a castle with the Queen of Hearts, a climbing wall, block painting, carpet bowling and a nature area just to name a few events for the young at heart.
Al talked about the Beer Garden and he and Meghan and Linda are on that committee. Licence has been approved and we are ready to go after a wine tasting on Monday night. The beer will be supplied by our local Breweries. We need lots of volunteers for this 1350 seat Beer & Family Beer Garden.
