This year’s Run to End Polio will be a 5k Color Run* & Peace Festival/Picnic on Saturday, March 18
at the Crystal Springs Picnic Area in Griffith Park. We hope you will join us for this fun-filled day. PLEASE FORWARD THE ATTACHED FLYER TO EVERYONE IN YOUR CLUB.* A color run is a run where, at several spots during the run, the participants will have cornstarch dyed in several colors thrown on them. At the end of the run you have a shirt that looks like it has been tie-dyed.
The run will be followed by a Peace Festival/Picnic where you will enjoy music, entertainment, carnival games, picnic foods and a raffle.
We are asking clubs to participate by donating food for the picnic portion of the event.
Rotary Clubs are also invited to participate in a Cupcake Contest! Bring 2 dozen cupcakes decorated in the color run theme for a chance to take the coveted “Cupcake Trophy” back to your club. Cupcakes will be judged solely on looks!
Please complete the attached club registration and e-mail it to 5280picnic@gmail.com.
We will be collecting new and gently used shoes for Soles4Souls. You will receive one extra raffle ticket for every pair of shoes you bring!
The cost of the event is:
Adults - $35.00 (before 3/18, $45 day of event)
17 & Under - $15.00 -- 5 & Under - Free!
100% of net proceeds go to PolioPlus
