The Westchester Family YMCA Youth & Government program invites you to Expert Panel #2, a youth-led webinar that investigates the state of modern policing in the United States. The series of three virtual events is hosted by the YMCA Youth & Government Officers, the Westchester YMCA Board, and a number of community partners that include several Westchester Rotarians.

On Tuesday evening at 6:30pm, a panel of experts will be discussing “the current reality” relative to the increasingly documented use of excessive force by police in America. Our objective is to raise awareness, empower our communities, and inspire change.

The “Current Reality: Where we are now” discussion starts promptly at 6:30pm on Tuesday, August 4. Guest Speakers for this Panel include Sergeant Jeretta Sandoz, President of the Los Angeles Police Protective League; Jason Butler, Activist, Musician and Former Youth & Government Delegate from Fever 333; and Kevin Taylor, West Area Representative, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Office.

We are at a critical juncture in our history and now is the time for us to inspire our communities to champion social justice, equity and inclusion for all!
